Khon Kaen University

Khon Kaen University was established on 25th January 1966 as a center of education in the region. There are 17 faculties and 3 faculty-like bureaus, which are the Graduate School, the College of Graduate study in Management and Nongkhai Campus. Currently the number of students is approximately 27,754. There are 46 dormitories for students which is more than any others university in Thailand.

The campus covers approximately 900 hectares. The university is today home to six academic support bureaus which are the Academic Center, Research and Development institute, Burean of Academic Administration and Management, Library and Learning Resource Center and the Northeastern Sirikit Heart Center. Moreover, the campus also has Srinagarind, Teaching Hospital, The Faculty of Medicine and Khon Kaen University Demonstration School.
